Planning Your Visit to Young Harris Church

We are so excited to be able to once again come together for in-person worship and in order to do so we are taking a number of precautions to insure the safety of our staff, congregation, and visitors while we begin to enter the church buildings for fellowship once again. Please review the following guidelines we have put in place to ensure that you have the safest visit possible.

STEP 1: New Service Hours

We've made a couple of modifications to our service hours and locations so make sure you are familiar with what time and where your preferred worship service is being held.

Traditional services with Rev. Dr. Luis Ortiz will be held on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. in the church Sanctuary.

Hispanic service with Rev. Angela Baza will be held on Sunday mornings at 12:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

STEP 2: Entry Locations

There will be one point of entry for each service. All other points of entry will be closed.

Traditional Service at 11 a.m. - Enter through the Bell Hall doors

Hispanic Service at 12:30 p.m. - Enter through the portico doors

STEP 3: Checking In

Upon entry a staff member will be present to greet you and to take your temperature reading with a no-contact infrared thermometer. If your temperature reads higher than 100° you will not be allowed to enter the facility.

Face masks will be available for all visitors who need one (The CDC recommends cloth face coverings as an effective method of reducing the spread of Covid-19). While face coverings are not required they are recommended in situations where it is less easy to practice social distancing.

Hand sanitizing stations will be readily available around the facility for your convenience.

STEP 4: Seating

Seating areas will be taped off with one side for family units that wish to be seated together. The remaining sections will be taped of in 6ft. intervals with one empty pew in-front and behind.

Our ushers will be ready to assist you in finding a place to sit while we adjust to our new seating arrangements. Please be respectful of the taped off areas.

These precautions will be evaluated each month to adjust to changes in CDC guidelines, the recommendations from our Bishop, and guidelines from our Cabinet are updated. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to our staff and we will be happy to help.
